LLOYD PETERSON Lloyd Emil Peterson, son of Emil and Mary Wagner Peterson, was born, January 10, 1930 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He departed this life, Monday, August 15, 2011, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, seven months and five days. On December 30, 1950 in Elmhurst, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Constance Jeanette White and to this union four children were born. Together they shared sixty years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Connie Peterson of the home; four children, Karen Jackson and husband Jim of Roach, Missouri, Mike Peterson and Bernie of Pardeeville, Wisconsin, Kelley Duffy and husband John of Mauston, Wisconsin and Jeff Peterson and wife Linda of St. Anne, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Melissa Hagen and husband Keith, Melanie Klinger and husband Shane, Steven Andersen and wife Heidi, Jackie Greathouse and husband Joe, Connie Faulkner and husband Chad, Michael Duffy, Marie Duffy, Ashley Peterson and Valerie Peterson; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Akinson of Monticello, Wisconsin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Lloyd was raised in Wisconsin he attended school in Pewaukee and was a graduate of Central High School in Madison. After his marriage to Connie, they made their home in California for eight years. The family then moved to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin where they lived until they retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1992. He worked as a machinist for U.S. Electric Motors in California then later for the Sun Prairie School District. Lloyd loved being on stage, entertaining and making people laugh. He starred in many theater productions in the lake area; having appeared on the stage of the Sunrise Beach Little Theatre and Camden County Museum. He was active in the Dogwood Animal Shelter, Camden County Historical Society, Camdenton Senior Center and the Sunrise Beach Little Theatre. He always had a dream of one day becoming a pilot. His family surprised him this past father's day with a ride on a helicopter. His family was most important to him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and remember the joy that he brought countless people. His memory will forever linger in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Eden Cemetery, Wonewoc, Wisconsin at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter or St. John's Hospice and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
