LORNA PATRICIA WEST Lorna Patricia West, daughter of Steelie Pearl and Nella Fern Mullens Criss, was born, March 6, 1930 in Jasonville, Indiana. She departed this life, Thursday, December 18, 2014, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-four years, nine months and twelve days. On December 31, 1949 in Carmel, Indiana, she was united in marriage to Jimmy Dwite West and to this union four children were born. Together they shared sixty-two years of marriage before his passing on June 19, 2011. She was also preceded in death by parents; an infant son, Jimmy and a sister, Betty Pearl Barbee. Survivors include three children, Elissa “Christy” Dulle and husband Jim and Olevia “Libby” West and Karen Salaway all of Camdenton, Missouri and Jimmy West, Jr. and wife Connie of Strang, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Jeff Voss, Mark Voss and wife Patsy, Kevin Voss and wife Kathy, Lisa West, Tiffany West, Weston West and Sabrina Decker and husband Chris; eleven great-grandchildren, Cherie Voss, Raven Voss, Jeffrey Voss, Sienna Voss, Hudson Decker, Sawyer Decker, Jaelynn West, Maesyn Voss, Tyler Rooffener, Kyle Rooffener and Kaitlyn Blair; a niece, Donna Kay Barbee; a nephew, Steelie Ray Barbee and a host of other relatives and many friends. Lorna was raised in Coalmont, Indiana. After her marriage, they made their home in California. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years. They lived in various states as her husband worked in construction. They retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1969. She worked at Wal-Mart in Camdenton for a number of years. Lorna made a profession of faith and attended First Baptist Church of Camdenton as her health allowed. She was a member of the Camdenton Moose Lodge and enjoyed activities there. In her spare time, she loved to go fishing and hunting. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. She was a great cook. Most of all, she loved time spent with her family; especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A graveside funeral service and burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Edith. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
