Lula Margaret Calvert, daughter of Jepathy E. and Leota Beatrice Sphere Martin, was born, April 9, 1929 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday morning April 2, 2020, in her daughter, Charlotte Frederick’s home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety years, eleven months and twenty-four days. On November 23, 1946, in the feed store in Decaturville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Earl L. Calvert and to this union three children were born. Together they shared fifty-nine years of marriage until Earl’s passing on February 26, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl; her son-in-law, J.B. Frederick; her grandson, Don Allen; her great-grandson, Matthew Allen and her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Frederick of Camdenton, Missouri; two sons, Ernie Calvert and wife Jane of Camdenton, Missouri and William Earl "Bill" Calvert and wife Nelda of Odessa, Texas; her grandchildren, Teffra Allen, Ernie Calvert, Jr. and wife Christi Calvert, Lesley Frederick and wife Cindy Alsano, Wesley Frederick and wife Heidi, Kim Capps and husband James, Nicki Jackson and husband Jeremy and Codi Calvert; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Lula was born and raised in Camden County, Missouri. She attended Myetta School. She met and married the love of her life Earl and they made their home in Camdenton, Missouri. Lula retired from Gerbes after twenty-five years working there as a cashier. Lula was saved and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church, Camdenton, Missouri. In her spare time, Lula loved this time of the years mushroom hunting and gardening. She enjoyed riding horses. She loved doing ceramics, but the time she treasured the most was being with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A private graveside service will be held at Myetta Cemetery Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to Regional Hospice or Myetta Cemetery and mailed to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Misosuri 65020. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
