Malcolm 'Doil' Parrish

Malcolm Doil Parrish of Climax Springs, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the University of Missouri Columbia Hospital after a brief battle with acute Lukemia at the age of sixty-two years, eleven months, and eight days. Doil was born September 4, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Malcolm Doil and Lorraine Priscilla Cooper Parrish. He was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1965. Doil was united in marriage to Judy Ann Bentch on August 19, 1967 and to this union two children were born. Doil was a lifelong resident of Camden County and worked as a businessman and farmer in Climax Springs for over forty years. He was a founding member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Climax Springs, which later became known as the Northwest Fire Protection District, and also served as a volunteer EMT in the district for many years. Doil was co-owner for fifteen years of Midwest Arial Photography. He is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; a daughter Terri York and husband David of Marshfield, Missouri; his mother Lorraine Parrish of Climax Springs; two granddaughters, Katelyn and Kelsey York of Marshfield, Missouri; three aunts as well as many cousins, who all mourn his sudden passing. Doil was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Doil Parrish, his father, Malcolm Doil Parrish, his maternal and paternal grandparents; as well as two aunts and two uncles. Doil was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and nephew, and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in Climax Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday evening in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the Climax Springs Cemetery or the choice of the donor. Arrangements are under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
