MARIAN HAINES Marian Janice Haines, daughter of Guy Rance and Mabel Scott Sanford, was born, October 28, 1929 in Macomb, Illinois. She departed this life, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-three years, four months and six days. On July 19, 1947 in Colchester, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Haines and to this union three children were born. Together they shared fifty-five years of marriage until his passing on July 25, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lawrence Sanford. Survivors include her children, Marlene Parson and husband Kevin of Camdenton, Missouri, Ed Haines of Camdenton, Missouri and Randy Haines and wife Teresa of Lakewood, Colorado; six grandchildren, Jess Boyert of Camdenton, Missouri, Becky Haines and April Haines both of Springfield, Missouri and Bradley Haines, Curtis Haines and Daniel Haines all of Lakewood, Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Jazmin Haines and a host of other relatives and many friends. Marian was raised in Colchester, Illinois and graduated from high school there. After her marriage to Don, they lived on a farm in Macomb, Illinois where she lovingly raised her children. In 1962 the family moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, where they owned and operated Chimney Rock Resort and Pikey's Beach Resort. Marian made a profession of faith and was a member of the Camdenton Church of Christ. In her spare time she loved to read and enjoyed cooking. She and Don were members of a motorcycle club and had fun square dancing. She played the piano and enjoyed sharing her musical talent. Most of all, time spent with family was precious to her. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Monday in the funeral home. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Colchester, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
