Marion Bender Marion Vivian Bender, daughter of Clinton Alexander and Sadie Odessa Ayers Boswell, was born, February 3, 1924 in Newnan, Georgia. She departed this life, December 5, 2010 in Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years, ten months and two days. She was united in marriage to Alton Ozmore and to this union four children were born. She later married George Walters and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Barry Ozmore; a grandson, Roy Ozmore; a sister, Grace McVey and a brother, Guy Boswell. Survivors include five children, Cary Ozmore and wife Barbara of Florida, Kenneth Ozmore and wife Shirley of Arkansas, Paty Ozmore of Florida, Suzy Akers and husband Don of Osage Beach, Missouri and Tammy Killian and husband Dale of Florida; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. Marion was raised in Newnan, Georgia. She later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and then to Merritt Island, Florida. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks when her health began to fail. She was a successful businesswoman, having owned and operated several hair salons. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit many destinations throughout the world. She enjoyed animals, gardening and painting. She loved to entertain and enjoyed dancing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Preparing big meals for her family was always a treat for her. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. She loved her family and friends and will live on in their hearts forever. A private family service will be held at a later date. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
