Marion Joseph Teer

Marion Joseph “Joe” Teer, son of Marion Felix and Flora Alice Childers Teer, was born, December 31, 1935 in Hugo, Missouri. He departed this life, November 18,2017, in his home, Linn Creek, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, ten months and eighteen days. On December 27, 1967 in Progreso, Mexico he was united in marriage to Barbara Jean (Heimbeaugh) Bybee. Together they shared forty-nine years of marriage He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Joe Dale Teer. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Teer of Linn Creek, Missouri; his daughters, P.J. Teer and husband Joe Wagner of Paradise Valley, Arizona, Tracey Teer of Linn Creek, Missouri, Tracy Fields of Edmond, Oklahoma; one step-daughter Michelle Giboney and husband James of Versailles, Missouri; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren one brother Merle Teer and wife Nancy of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; special nephew, Allen Teer and wife Cheryl of Wheatland, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Joe attended elementary school at Hugo and went on to High School in Camdenton. He lived the majority of his life here in the Camdenton area. For a few years he lived in Kansas City, Missouri, Anderson, Indiana, and Dallas, Texas until returning to the Camdenton area in 1983. Joe made a profession of faith and attended Pleasant Grove Church at an early age. Joe owned and operated his own mechanic shop, where they did both mechanical and body work to cars. He most recently had Hugo Auto Sales. During his early years he enjoyed auto racing. When he wasn’t working at the shop, you could find him flying one of his planes, or out with Barbara taking a cruise on the Honda Goldwing. Joe enjoyed spending time outside whether it be fishing, camping, or traveling with his family. You never knew what kind of story he was going to tell when he started talking about the early life of living in Hugo, Missouri. He was a loving husband, dad, brother, son, uncle, grandpa, great grandpa and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove, Edith, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Compassus and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
