MARION "MERN" KRAEMER Marion Ruth "Mern" Kraemer, daughter of Adrian and Carolyn Lucille Cordell McKay, was born, December 29, 1948 in Kirksville, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, March 27, 2008 in her home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-nine years, two months and twenty-eight days. On August 23, 1975 in Columbia, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Julius H.C. "Harry" Kraemer. Together they shared twenty-five happy years until his passing on February 13, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Tim and Marion Cordell and Ross and Beulah McKay; a brother, Jerry McKay and a nephew, Jeff McKay. Survivors include her children, Mark Kraemer of Camdenton, Missouri, Tina Abernathy and husband Jay of Kirksville, Missouri, Kathie Baker and husband Jerry of Linn Creek, Missouri and Kelle Abramowitz and husband Dennis of Greentop, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren, Ryan, Kristopher, Jaycob, Jayson, Kalab, Keaton, Kolton, Leah, Ember, Valerie, Jaxom, Heather, Phoebe, Zeth and Tori; two great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Alex; two sisters, Carol Winterberg and husband Gary of Des Moines, Iowa and Marilyn Crispin of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister-in-law, Betty Lou Clark of New Berlin, Wisconsin; a special nephew, Mike Siepel of Springfield, Missouri as well as four other nephews, three nieces, other relatives and friends. She was raised in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Elementary, Junior High and Senior High School there. She was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and attended Drake University, Columbia College and Lincoln University. She worked as an Adult Critical Care Nurse at University of Missouri Medical Center, Boone Regional Hospital and Lake Regional Hospital. She was a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and was CCRN certified. She was an ACLS and BLS instructor for the American Heart Association. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Community Christian Church in Camdenton. Mern was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. She made an impact on many lives and her memory will live on forever in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Community Christian Church and left at the funeral home or the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
