Marsha Paxson

MARSHA JO PAXSON Marsha Jo Paxson, daughter of, James Bradley and Sharon Delight Goslin Price, was born, September 26, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio. She departed this life, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of forty-four years, five months and twenty-two days. She was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Andrew Paxson on October 5, 2000. Survivors include two children, Chris M. Legler and Jessica L. Legler both of Greenfield, Indiana; her parents, James and Sharon Price of Crossville, Tennessee; two brothers, Mark Price and Mike Price both of Houston, Texas; a sister, Patty Eudy of Akron, Ohio and a host of other relatives and many friends. Marsha was raised in Whitehall, Ohio and graduated from high school there. She enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served her country. After being honorably discharged from the Army, she lived in Colorado for a time. She then moved to Germany and lived there for several years. Back in the United States, she lived in Ozark, Missouri and then moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2000. She was a freelance writer for the Associated Press most of her adult life. She also wrote for the Springfield News-Leader, Branson Daily News and the Lake Sun Leader. Most recently, she worked at Tan-Tar-A. She was a member of the American Legion Post #624 in Sunrise Beach, Missouri and the Missouri Press Association. In her spare time, she enjoyed photography, drawing, writing and crocheting. Marsha was a loving mother, daughter and sister and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her many accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., Sunday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A private burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
