Mary Elizabeth Coleman Mary Elizabeth Coleman, daughter of Burt and Harriet Myers Miles, was born, May 5, 1917 in Marion, Indiana. She departed this life, Saturday, September 26, 2009, in, Springfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-two years, four months and twenty-one days. On February 15, 1937 in Marion, Indiana, she was united in marriage to Robert Newton Coleman and to this union four sons were born. Together they shared sixty-two years until his passing on April 6, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Byron, Paul, Verl and Harold Miles and a sister, Lillian Harvey. Survivors include her four sons, Daniel Coleman and wife Erika, Jan Coleman and Merlin Coleman all of Camdenton, Missouri and Miles Coleman and wife Elaine of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mary was raised in Marion, Indiana and after her marriage to Robert, they moved to Warsaw, Indiana where he pastored a church there for ten years. In 1957, they moved to Chicago, Illinois where he was pastor of the United Pentecostal Church and ran a mission on Skid Row. They retired to Camdenton in 1979. Besides being a homemaker, she was a help-mate to the husband and a mother to her children. Mary made a profession of faith and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the organ and piano. She loved Iris flowers and spent many hours crocheting. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Harvest Tabernacle Church and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
