Mary Dodson

MARY DODSON Mary Elnora Dodson, daughter of Fred and Emma Burton, was born, June 13, 1941 in , New Mexico. She departed this life, Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-one years, one month and eight days. She was united in marriage to Milton Armstead Dodson, III and together they many shared years of marriage before his passing on March 29, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Milton Dodson, IV and five siblings. Survivors include five children, Mary Jane Jennings of Jacksonville, Florida, Marshall Blakley and wife Yolanda of Houston, Texas, Michelle Olson and husband Sam of Springfield, Missouri, Monica Dodson of Camdenton, Missouri and Marsha Harrington and husband Kevin of Linn Creek, Missouri; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Burton and wife Barb of Exel, Alabama; a sister, Melba Johnston of San Diego, California and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mary was raised in El Cajon, California where she met and married her husband. She lived in Houston, Texas and California most of her life before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks area in 2003. She was a homemaker. In her spare time you could find her watching television. She was especially fond of Soap Operas. Spending time with her family brought her much joy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2012 in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
