Mary Lou Marjorie Hage, daughter of Henry and Agnes (Holtz) Hage, was born on April 15, 1940 and departed this life on August 19, 2024 to continue life with her Lord Jesus Christ.
Mary Lou was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakefield, MN. She graduated from Lakefield High School with the class of 1958.
On June 7, 1959, Mary Lou married Donald Palmer and to this marriage, three children were born – twin daughters Lonna and Donna and son Glenn.
On August 15, 1975, Mary Lou and David Rossow were united in marriage. Welcomed with love into the family were David’s three children – Nancy, Kristine, and Bradley.
Mary Lou enjoyed bowling at her parent’s bowling alley – Bowler’s Inn. She recorded many 600 games and won many tournaments. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for all occasions. Her “champion” rosettes were always a hit at Christmas.
Her love for her dog Molly never went unnoticed.
Mary Lou worked at the Lakefield Hospital for 17 years. She then worked at Camden Medical Center in Camdenton, MO for five years before working with Camden County Home Health.
Mary Lou was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Camdenton, MO. Her faith in God was very important to her.
Recently, Mary Lou entered the Arrowhead Senior Living facility due to her declining health. She was well loved by all those who cared for her. Mary Lou passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband David of 49 years, daughters Lonna (Bruce) Burmeister, Donna (Michael) Bisaillon, son Glenn (Shelly) Palmer all of Lakefield, MN. Step-children Nancy (Earl) Graham of Faribault, MN, Bradley (Angie) Rossow of Lakefield, MN, sisters Berniece Kolander and Beverly Hall of Heron Lake, MN, Diane (James) Laursen of Scottsdale, AZ, sister-in-law Elaine Belsheim of Cambridge, MN, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Agnes Hage, her mother and father-in-law Walter and Georgianna Rossow, step-daughter Kristine Rossow, sister Bonnie (Kenneth) Bisping, brother Darrell (Adele) Hage, and sister and brother-in-law’s, Horace Hall, Ahrles Kolander, Phylis (Donald) Belsheim, and Dean Belsheim.
We celebrate her life and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
