Mary Lou Williams

Mary Lou Williams, daughter of Nolan H. and Ruby M. Lionberger Grover, was born, January 17,1946 in Bowling Green, Missouri. She departed this life, August 20, 2019, in her son’s home in Shawnee, Kansas at the age of seventy-three years, seven months and three days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Danny Grover. She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Newell and husband Danny of Stoutland, Missouri and Linda Williams and fiancé Robert of San Benito, Texas; her son, Steven Williams and wife Nenita of Shawnee, Kansas; four grandchildren, Bruce, Blake, Logan and Ariel and a host of other relatives and many friends. Mary was raised in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Wyandotte High School. She later moved to Camdenton and made it her home. She worked at the Juvenile Justice Center from October 6, 1989 until her retirement on April 30, 2010. Mary made a profession of faith and was a member of the Community Christian Church in Camdenton, Missouri. Since the age of ten, Mary Lou was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She had been to every Elvis week from 1996-2017. She made over sixty trips to Graceland in Memphis during her lifetime. She enjoyed the times her members of her family were able to go with her. She loved playing cards and scrapbooking. The time she treasured the most, was the time spent with her kids and grandkids. She was a loving mom and grandma and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., - 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2019 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the Dogwood Animal Shelter and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
