MARY M. GORDON Mary Meinert Gordon, daughter of Ralph J. and Vida Meinert Brown Greenleaf, was born, August 7, 1919 in Elyria, Ohio. She departed this life, Monday, February 2, 2015, in Good Samaritan Care Center, Cole Camp, Missouri at the age of ninety-five years, five months and twenty-six days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ralph Brown and her beloved step-father Leslie Greenleaf. Survivors include her children, Mary Moeller and husband James L. of Kansas City, Missouri, David Gordon and wife Jackie of Linn Creek, Missouri and Robert Antonacci and wife Alma Rosa of Weslaco, Texas; six grandchildren, Sarah Gordon-Wickam and fiancé Brian Shaw and Charlie Gordon and wife Kara all of Linn Creek, Missouri, Jessica Moeller and fiancé Matt Hurd of Bellingham, Washington, Elizabeth Davida Moeller of Columbia, Missouri, Tony Antonacci and wife Heather of Canton, Georgia and Barbara Barragan and husband Fernando of Sunny Isles, Florida; six great-grandchildren, Ava Wickam, Cooper Gordon, Eella Barragan, Luke Barragan, Hanna Antonacci and Haden Nicole Antonacci; her sister, Marcia Lloyd of Girard, Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mary was raised Waukegan, Illinois and graduated from high school there. She received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Champaign in Hospital Dietetics and Home Economics. She worked as Food Service Coordinator for Marshall Field’s and several veterans hospitals in the Chicago area. After moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, she owned and operated the Dogwood Café in Sunrise Beach. She worked as Food Service Director for nursing homes in Camdenton, California, Versailles and Laurie. She was Food Services Supervisor for Camdenton Schools. Mary made a profession of faith and was a charter member of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church. She was very active in the women’s group and served on the church board. She was the first bride to be married in Kent Memorial Lutheran Church. She was very active in her community. She served on the Laurie Care Center Nursing Home Board and the Camdenton Library Board. Mary was an avid bird watcher and a member of the National Audubon Society. He was a talented quilter and made many beautiful quilts for members of her family. Most of all, time spent with family was precious to her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Kent Memorial Lutheran Church, Sunrise Beach. Inurnment will be in Kent Memorial Lutheran Columbarium. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Saturday in the church. Memorial donations may be made to Kent Memorial Lutheran Church for outdoor church beautification and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
