Mary Merrill

MARY K. MERRILL Mary K. Merrill, daughter of Fred Agustus and Anna Clotilda Sucher Harrison, was born, October 23, 1916 in Carthage, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in St. John's Hospital, Lebanon, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years and five days. On February 2, 1937 in Carthage, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Richard Merrill and to this union six children were born. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband and a brother, John Arthur Harrison. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Hyde of Crane, Missouri, Richard Merrill and wife Roberta of San Antonio, Texas, John "Fred" Merrill and wife Carol of Carthage, Missouri, Alicia Gainer and husband Cotton and Valarie Dickinson and husband Russell all of Lebanon, Missouri and Kevin Merrill and wife Marilyn of Winter Springs, Florida; twenty grandchildren; fifty-five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Mary was raised in the Carthage, Missouri area and resided in Lebanon, Missouri where she was a help-mate to her husband, mother to her children and a proud homemaker. She was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church of Lebanon, Missouri. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lebanon, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
