MAXINE WILLIAMS Eva Maxine Williams, daughter of Elijah Richard and Clara Josephine Gibson Mosier, was born, March 3, 1921 in Camdenton, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, January 31, 2015, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years, ten months and twenty-eight days. On June 10, 1961, she was united in marriage to Jasper Joseph Williams and to this union one son was born. Together they shared twenty-eight years of marriage until his passing on October 7, 1989. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Velma Folsum, Doris Beck, Leona Foster and Burla Mosier and four brothers, John, Leonard, Glen and J.C. Mosier. Survivors include her son, Richard Williams of Camdenton, Missouri; a step-daughter, Jeanette Mann of Pasadena, California; two granddaughters, Heather Ann Hill and husband Matthew of Eldon, Missouri and Nicole Marie Williams of Greenview, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Stormy Nicole and Evan Xavier Wise, Richard Jakob Taylor and Isabella Marie Calderone and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Maxine was raised in Camdenton and in her teens worked at the Ha Ha Tonka Castle. She studied at the University of Missouri before enlisting in the Army. She proudly served in the Women’s Army Corp during World War II. After being honorably discharged, she worked as a Stewardess for Delta Airlines. She and her husband moved back to the Lake of the Ozarks where they built and ran the 5-81 Motel. Maxine made a profession of faith and was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family and being a homemaker. She created many wonderful memories for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
