Michael Lee Pearce, son of Ronald Lee Pearce and Judith Anne (Gentner) Pearce, was born, September 28, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, October 19, 2023 at his home in Roach, Missouri at the age of sixty-six years and twenty-one days.
On February 16, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada he was united in marriage to Vicki Jean Phillips. Together they shared nearly twenty-two years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Lee Pearce and one son, Michael Anthony Pearce.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Pearce of the home; one daughter, Samantha Pearce of Windsor, Missouri; one grandson, Camden Michael Madole of Windsor, Missouri; his mother, Judith Pearce of Lees Summit, Missouri; one brother, Mark Pearce of Lone Jack, Missouri; one sister, Michelle Pearce of Lees Summit, Missouri. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mike was raised in South Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Irvine Junior High School and in 1975 he was part of the first graduating class of Hickman Mills High School. After graduating from high school Mike attended technical school and became very proficient in auto body repair working for several auto dealers in the Raytown and South Kansas City area. Mike would eventually go into construction with his father and brother becoming a heavy equipment operator doing work as well for many larger and smaller construction companies throughout the Kansas City, Missouri metro area. Mike was a member of the Operating Engineers 101 Union for thirty years. Prior to retirement Mike would wrap up his working career working maintenance for the City of Greenwood, Missouri. He and Vicki would retire to the Lake of the Ozarks which was truly one of Mike’s life pleasures.
As a young man growing up Mike made a profession of faith and was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.
In his spare time Mike enjoyed fishing, and hunting with his dad and brother. Later in life Mike found a love for riding motorcycles. He and Vicki loved to camp and ride buggies at sand dunes.
He was a loving and a caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
A Celebration of life will be held at the family’s home at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 22, 2023
