MIKE WHITE Curtis Ordie "Mike" White, son of Lebius Wesley and Susie Harris White, was born, November 26, 1915 in Lodi, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-five years, five months and twenty-one days. On August 31, 1935 in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Wilma Vivian Dixon and to this union three children were born. Together they shared seventy-one years of marriage before her passing on July 30, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gordie White and two sisters, Rachel Cross and Gladys Roy. Survivors include his children, Mona Poole and husband Rich of Linn Creek, Missouri, Larry White and wife Jeanne of Midlothian, Virginia and Eddie White and wife Shirley of Eldridge, Missouri; five grandchildren, Pam Viduszynski and husband Joe of Winfield, Missouri, Mike Smith and wife Carol of Wentzville, Missouri, Cathy Stadter and husband Richard of St. Louis, Missouri, Marty White of Ferguson, Missouri and Lindsey Zuercher of Chicago, Illinois; eight great-grandchildren, Charlie Willyard, Chantel Powell, Crystal Stadter, Rachel Stadter, Danielle Stadter, Allison White, Curtis White and Molly White; four great-great-grandchildren, Steven and Autumn Powell and Isabella and Sophia Willyard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Curtis was raised in the Poplar Bluff, Missouri area. After his marriage, he served his country in the United States Army during the end of World War II. After being honorably discharged, the family lived in St. Louis, Missouri. They later moved to Winfield, Missouri. He worked as a meat cutter at Kroger for most of his working life. He and Wilma retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1973. Curtis made a profession of faith and was a member of First Baptist Church of Camdenton. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. He and Wilma loved to travel and had visited all the states except for Hawaii and Delaware. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Aubuchon officiating. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
