Mildred Ann Whitworth

Mildred Ann Whitworth, daughter of the late Sid & Delia Rooffener, was born on October 8, 1932 and departed this life on August 1, 2024. At the time of her passing, she was ninety-one years, nine months and twenty-four days of age.


She was preceded in passing by her husband, Wayne Whitworth; her parents; two siblings, Betty Beard and Sid Donald Rooffener; grandson, Jonathan Weaver; and son-in-law, Johnny Weaver.


Mildred is survived her daughters, Jennifer Weaver, and children Jake, Jeff, and Jordan; Janine Bullock, husband Glenn and children Josh and Morgan; Tracey Katsev, husband Mike and children Abby, Conner, and Riley; Sara Brockmeyer, husband Chuck and children Elizabeth, Luke, Will and Zack; and Angie Arcipowski, husband John and children Sam, Jenna, Alex, and Claire; and seventeen great-grandchildren. In her passing, Mildred also leaves behind many friends and other family members who will all truly miss her.


Mildred was born in Linn Creek, Missouri and would later graduate from Camdenton High School; Following her high school graduation, she attended Southwest Baptist University for a short time.


On July 10, 1953, Mildred was united in marriage to Wayne Whitworth at Bridal Cave. Early in her working years, she spent time at the Camden County Court House, serving as a waitress at various places in the area, which she truly enjoyed, and helping at Janine’s Flower Shop.


In her spare time, she took great pride in caring for her home and family. Following retirement, Wayne and Millie spent several years traveling. They visited relatives across the country, took trips to Alaska, the Dakotas, many Western states and Washington, D.C. They wintered in southern Texas for nearly a decade. Camden County was where their hearts were; In the past two decades, they appreciated living in Camden County and looked forward to spending time with their daughters and their families.


She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.


A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2024 in Laughlin Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Laughlin Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
