Mildred R. Schuhs Mildred Rosella Schuhs, daughter of George Henry and Clara Belle Wright Henkle, was born, August 21, 1934 in LeRoy, Kansas. She departed this life, Monday, October 5, 2009, in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years, one month and fourteen days. In 1954, she was united in marriage to Theodore Russell Schuhs and together they shared many happy years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; her parents; a sister, Darlene Harrison and three brothers, Lewis Henkle, Eugene Henkle and Paul Henkle. Survivors include several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mildred was raised in Burlington, Kansas and attended school there. She received a Bachelors Degree in English Education from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. She decided rather than pursuing a teaching career, she would be a homemaker and help-mate to her husband. She and Ted lived most of their lives in the Harrisonville, Missouri area. Mildred made a profession of faith and was a member of Ozark Bethel Assembly of God in Climax Springs, Missouri. She had also been in the Eastern Star in Wichita, Kansas. She loved the Bible and especially enjoyed gospel television shows. Most of all, she loved the simple things that life had to offer. She was a loving sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kansas under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
