Nanci Morris,58, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away on May 7, 2024.
Nanci Sue Morris was born in 1965 to Clyde and Betty Jones in North Carolina. Her father served in the Army, and Nanci grew up in Germany where Clyde was stationed. Later, moving to Kansas, Trina, Clyde Junior and brothers Leland and Will, having been added to the family, Clyde Senior finished his service career and retired.
Nanci finished High School and began to travel. She worked in the hospitality industry in Hawaii for the entertainer Don Ho for several years, then on to El Paso, Texas, becoming fluent in Spanish, and finally moving to Missouri. She worked various trades, including becoming a certified nurse, but hospitality was her calling. Before retiring, she managed the Senior Center kitchen, then the Sugarloaf Vineyard Winery, making thousands of friends. In her later years, she busied herself with gardens and flower beds, then studying and certifying as a Missouri Master Naturalist. She also became a Stream Team member, as well as, an eagle nest monitor, raising and selling hundreds of peacocks as a side hobby.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Morris; daughter Contessa Long; sons Wesley and wife Ruth Vaupel and Dakota and wife Ayla Conner; step daughters Angie and husband Mark Thill and Jade and husband Kevin Sellers; brothers Clyde Jones Junior, Leland and wife Tasha Jones and Will Jones; and her sister Trina Cade; five grandchildren, Miranda, Elijah, Gabriella, Essie, and Koda; and two great-grandchildren, Maya and Zara.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, George Conner.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 at the Funeral Home and followed by burial in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
