Nathan Dean Rooffener, son of Kenneth Dean and Glenna Marie Burge Rooffener, was born, January 2, 1970 in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, November 4, 2021, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of fifty-one years, ten months and two days. In Alaska on August 22, 1996, he was united in marriage to Xu Zhang in a ceremony performed by his dad, Dean. To this union two beautiful daughters were born. Together they were blessed with twenty-five years of marriage He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Glenna Rooffener; his paternal grandparents, Roy and Flossie Rooffener and his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Hazel Layman. He is survived by his wife, Xu Rooffener of the home; two daughters, Tancy Rooffener of Osage Beach, Missouri and Tyerra Rooffener of Osage Beach, Missouri; two sisters, Carmen Todd and husband Rowland of Decaturville, Missouri and Stacy Stoll and husband Terry of Camdenton, Missouri; his father and mother-in-law, Yishou Zhang and Lifang Liu as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, friends. Nathan was born in Lebanon, Missouri and grew up in Camdenton, Missouri where he graduated in the class of 1988 and played football for the Camdenton Lakers. He began his working career by working with his parents in the family's Bumper Shop. He met Xu in Kansas City and later moved to Alaska where they were married and lived for a few months. Later they moved to Montreal, Missouri and then to Rolla where they started a Chinese Restaurant Business that they had for six years. In 2006, they moved to China where he taught English for ten years before moving back home to the lake area in 2016, where he worked as a realtor. Nathan was saved and was a member of the Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church. His church family held a special place in his heart. In his spare time, he treasured watching movies with his girls, traveling with his family to different countries, playing with his dog Jazz, and being with family and friends. He had quite the talent for doing drawings of nature and animals. Nathan really enjoyed playing pranks and telling jokes. He had a good sense of humor and loved making others laugh. Nathan has blessed many people in his lifetime with his kind and gentle spirit. He was a loving son, husband, dad, brother, uncle, son-in-law and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to a fund that has been established and may be left or mailed to the funeral home, Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
