NEAL CUNNINGHAM Neal Foster Cunningham, son of Thomas Jefferson and Ana Augusta Foster Cunningham, was born, August 16, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He departed this life, Saturday, October 25, 2014, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years, two months and nine days. On October 7, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Irene Marie McClellan and to this union four children were born. Together they shared sixty-three years of marriage until her passing on July 17, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Cunningham and five siblings, Lyda White, Fred Cunningham, Alene Boston, Glen Cunningham and Gay Myers. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Boyd of Camdenton, Missouri, Carla Wood and husband Bob of Climax Springs, Missouri and Darla Mathews and companion Kirk Wiles of Camdenton, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Jennie Cunningham and companion Rick Sanders of Camdenton, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Robert Wood and wife Kayla, Kara Long and husband Jeff, Josh Mathews and wife Amber, Megan Mathews, Cassie Cunningham, Neal Cunningham and Cody Wiles and wife Becky; four-great-grandchildren, Lilly, Kylah, Avah, and Connor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Neal was raised in the St. Louis area. Shortly after getting married, he served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, they made their home in St. Louis. He was a carpenter and home builder. In 1972 they retired to the Lake of the Ozarks. Neal made a profession of faith at a young age and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Camdenton. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at First Assembly of God in Camdenton. Burial will follow in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
