NETTIE WIETHOP Nettie Arvilla Wiethop, daughter of Conley Linden and Gladys Esther Welsh Tillson, was born, January 31, 1920 in Jackson, Michigan. She departed this life, Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years, eleven months and seven days. In 1939 she was united in marriage to Harry Franklin Cooper. He preceded her in death in 1953. She married Earl E. Wiethop in 1955 and he passed away in 1987. She later was a loving companion to Russ Lang, who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Linden Cooper and Darrell Cooper and two grandsons, John Pletcher and Christopher Santini. Survivors include her children, Patricia Pletcher of Maple Hill, Kansas, Florence Hays of Indianapolis, Indiana, Bobby Cooper and wife Cathy of Topeka, Kansas, Annie Willcut and husband Nick of Camdenton, Missouri, Earlene Blair and husband Tronnie of Camdenton, Missouri, Jerry Wiethop and wife Denise of Montreal, Missouri, Pam Capps and husband Kenny of Roach, Missouri and Michele McDonald and husband Tony of Camdenton, Missouri; thirty grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Nettie was raised on a farm in Jackson, Michigan. Her family later moved to Camdenton where she graduated from Camdenton High School. She was truly a mother at heart. In her early years, she babysat for half the town and lovingly raised her ten children. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star earlier in life. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, baking, quilting and traveling. She had a cat named Molly that she loved dearly. She was a great friend to everyone. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Nettie was a great and wonderful, mother and grandmother and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Big Niangua Cemetery, Roach, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter or Kids Harbor and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
