NICK SHOULTS John Nicholas Shoults, son of John Paul Shouts and Lynne Gail Colliver Stewart, was born, December 31, 1985 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He departed this life, Friday, August 28, 2009, in his home, Roach, Missouri at the age of twenty-three years, seven months and twenty-eight days. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Shoults; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Judy Colliver; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Mary Shoults and a cousin, Kenny Colliver. Survivors include his mother, Lynne Stewart and husband Don of Camdenton, Missouri; his father, John Shoults of Springfield, Missouri; his brothers, Chris Stewart of Roach, Missouri and Andrew Shoults of Springfield, Missouri; his sisters, Jennifer Stewart and fiance James Turcott of South Prairie, Washington, Crystal Stewart of Camdenton, Missouri and Megan Shoults and Brooke Shoults both of Jacksonville, Florida; nieces and nephews, Kielee, Trenton and Jenna Turcott and Christian Martin; aunts and uncles, Glenn and Sonya Colliver and Connie and Rocky Mills all of Camdenton, Missouri, Danny and Mary Shoults of Auxvasse, Missouri and Cathy and Keith Murray of Mexico, Missouri and a host of other relatives and many friends. Nick was raised in Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the class of 2004. While in school, he was active in the Future Farmers of America and The Pride of the Lake Marching band. He served as a volunteer for the Mid-County Fire Protection District and went through EMT training. After high school he enlisted with the United States Army. He felt compelled to serve his fellow man and was in active duty in Iraq for most of his term in the Army serving as a cannon gunner. Due to an injury while serving in Iraq, he was honorably discharged in 2008. While in the Army he received many decorations and medals including, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal - Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Combat Action Badge. Nick made a profession of faith and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Camdenton. He had a passion for bull riding and rode in as many events as he could. He also enjoyed cage fighting. He went camping and canoeing many times with his family and friends. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them throughout the years. Nick was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his service to his country and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday in the church. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
