Nola Webster

NOLA WEBSTER Nola Ellen Webster, daughter of Charles Henry and Rachel Cuemy Allen Moore, was born, October 8, 1924 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Monday, July 12, 2010, in Lakeside Meadows, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-five years, nine months and four days. On December 27, 1946 in Camden County, she was united in marriage to Guy Webster and to this union, six children were born. Together they shared nearly fifty years until his passing on March 9, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stevie Guy "Bud" Webster; three daughters, Jackie Ferguson, Sharon Kay Webster and Carol Fay Webster; nine sisters, Winnie Allen, Beulah Wardlow, Edith Stone, Sophia Looney, Velva Looney, May Stover, Flossie Foust, Ruby Riggs and Florence Green and a brother, Norman Moore. Survivors include two sons, Ace Webster and wife Cory and Milton Webster and wife Jamie all of Camdenton; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister, Jo Williams of Lebanon, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Nola was a life-long resident of Camden County. She worked for over forty years for Blair Cedar. She was a talented musician and song writer who enjoyed playing Bluegrass music on the fiddle. Nola made a profession of faith and attended several local churches throughout her life. She loved gospel music, and going to church "singins." She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning and garage sales. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed hosting large family gatherings. She made the best fried taters and elderberry jelly around. She loved Camden County History and especially Ha Ha Tonka. She loved children and to many she was known as "Granny". She made many beautiful quilts and gave most away for people to enjoy and treasure. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her little buddy Hunter. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends, who lovingly called her Mommy and Nolie. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
