NORMA JEAN PARKS Norma Jean Parks, daughter of Herschel D. and Sarah Fulton Stuckey, was born, December 20, 1933 in Leasburg, Missouri. She departed this life, Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-nine years, seven months and one day. On June 13, 1964, she was united in marriage to Harold C. Parks. Together they shared thirty-four years of marriage before his passing on December 1, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include several cousins, Terry Carlisle and wife Dr. Gretchen of Columbia, Missouri, James Carlisle and wife Barbara of Vandalia, Ohio, Howard Carlisle and wife Patti of Tiffin, Ohio, Wilma Rockwell and husband Dale of Atlanta, Georgia, Wanda Winter and husband David of Eaton, Ohio, Vicky Holt and husband Ken of Auburn, Indiana, Cleo Carlisle of Cuba, Missouri and Bobby Fulton of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Wanda Rosel of Searcy, Arkansas; a niece, Renee Faucett of Searcy, Arkansas and many friends, including Steve Welsh of Osage Beach, Missouri. Norma was raised in Leasburg, Missouri and moved with her family to St. Louis as a young girl. She graduated from high school there and began a career as a secretary with Bethlehem Steel. She and her husband retired to the Lake of the Ozarks. While at the lake, she worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing with her husband and traveling to various places to fish. She had a passion for cats and always had a pet cat. She enjoyed singing and she and her mother were once very active in the church choir. Most of all, time spent with family and friends was precious to her. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to The Dogwood Animal Shelter and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
