Ola Imogene (Rainwater) Cross born on September 15, 1925, daughter of the later Merrill Dewey Rainwater and Margaret Levine (Phillips) Rainwater, peacefully departed this life on September 6th, 2020 at the age of ninety-four, in the Osage Beach Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center surrounded by Family. Ola was united in marriage on August 3, 1946 to Lark Willis Cross in Harrisonville, Arkansas shortly after his return from serving in World War II. She is proceeded in death by her husband Lark, her parents, a sister Margery Lawrence, and four brothers: Sid, Warren, Barney, and Mack, and nephew Jack Cross. Survivors include one brother, Edsel Rainwater of Osage Beach, Missouri, son Merle Cross and wife Donna of Camdenton, Missouri, daughter Lois (Cross) Wright and husband Jerry of Linn Creek, Missouri, son Danny Cross and wife Tammy of Gravois Mills, Missouri, her sister-in-law Vera Rainwater of Linn Creek, Missouri, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Ola lived a full and active life in the lake area. She served as an employee of Ozark Fisheries in Stoutland, Missouri prior to her marriage, as an election official in the Toronto, Missouri precinct, operated a grocery store with her late husband, hosted weekly Sunday dinners for friends and family, and annually opened her home for the Rainwater Family reunion. She was a yearly participant in the Missouri State Fair winning many first place ribbons for her baking, canning, quilting, and crocheting skills. Ola was an avid gardener and many of the ribbons won at the Missouri State Fair were from produce grown in her own garden. Ola was baptized into the Church of Christ as a young girl, and spent many active years in service to the Lord at the Camdenton Church of Christ, where she assisted with weekly cleaning of the building, annual Vacation Bible School, mailing of the weekly church bulletin to shut-ins, and baking bread for visitors. Ola leaves behind many friends and family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2020 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Montreal Cemetery, Montreal, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to Montreal Cemetery or Missouri State Fair Foundation and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
