PAUL EBERT Paul Edwin Ebert, son of Edwin Herbert and Florence Helen Mildred Miller Ebert, was born, March 22, 1923 in Woodstock, Illinois. He departed this life, Thursday, June 7, 2012, in Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri at the age of eighty-nine years, two months and sixteen days. On May 20, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Juanita Agnes Fender and to this union two children were born. Together they shared sixty-eight years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Ebert and a sister, Joanne Graeler. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Ebert of the home; a daughter, Cheryl Williams of Camdenton, Missouri; a son; five grandchildren, Robin Reutner, Susan Keeney, Rachelle Cunningham, Paula Meister and Joey Ebert; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Paul was raised in Illinois and graduated from High School there. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was in the Guadalcanal and Fiji Islands serving as an airplane mechanic. After serving six years and being honorably discharged, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where his parents owned and operated Ebert's Beach Resort. He worked as a carpenter most of his working life. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, carving and travel. He loved to hunt arrowheads and has a vast collection. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Laurie Care Center Memory Unit and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
