PEARL BLACKMORE Pearl Rachel Blackmore, daughter of John William and Julia Ann Eckhart McIntyre, was born, July 8, 1915 in Normal, Illinois. She departed this life, Monday, April 18, 2011, in Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-five years, nine months and ten days. On June 11, 1966 in Urbana, Missouri, she was united in marriage to James Earl Blackmore. Together they shared twenty-four years of marriage before his passing in January of 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Josephine LaCasse in 2004 and Carol Crum in 1999; a son Larry Owen Walsh in 1968; the father of her children, Carl Edgar Walsh in 1960 and a son-in-law, Soni Rice in 2002. She is survived by seven children, Edward Walsh and wife Janet of Powell, Ohio; William Walsh and wife Nancy of Kentucky; Susan Walsh of Camdenton, Missouri; Mary Hill and husband Jim of Independence, Missouri; Lou Landrus and husband Dannie of Linn Creek, Missouri; Dorothy Walsh of Camdenton, Missouri and Karen Rice of Urbana, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Alice Perkins of Marshall, Missouri; a step-son, Robert Blackmore and wife Mina of Eddy, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Pearl was raised in McLean County, Illinois and moved to Cross Timbers, Missouri in 1953. She later lived in Urbana, Missouri and moved to Camdenton, Missouri in 1972. She was a mother and a homemaker and had worked for the Skyline Grade School in Urbana for five years. Pearl was a fifty-year member of the Latter Day Saints Church. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Osage Beach and worked with the church Relief Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and needlework. She had a knack for gardening and grew some of the most beautiful yellow roses. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011, in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bower's Chapel Cemetery, Urbana, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
