Randall Leslie Beem, son of Randall David and Berniece Annie Haefs Beem, was born January 30, 1933 in Elgin, Oregon. He departed this life Tuesday, June 21, 2016, in Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, four months, and twenty-two days. On June 9, 1951, Randy was united in marriage to Betty Jane Franck, and to this union six children were born. His parents; his wife, Betty, on February 25, 2011; a son, James Beem; a grandson, Aaron Vance; and a brother, Charles Beem, preceded Randy in death. Randy is survived by his children, Randy Beem and wife Nancy, of Climax Springs, Missouri, Bill Beem and wife Carol, of Timberlake, South Dakota, Mike Beem and wife Heidi, of Arvada, Colorado, Julie LeBeau and husband David, of Arvada, Colorado, and Sandy Copenhaver and husband Mike, of Hannibal, Missouri; his grandchildren, Laura Davidson and husband Chris, R.J. Beem and wife Heather, Katie Hoeppner, Krissi Lab and husband Kit, Michael Galbraith, Jennee Beem, Melissa Simaitis and husband Eric, Wendi Utzinger, Eric Beem, Mandy Ortega and husband Eric, Crystal Anderson and husband Eric, Scott LeBeau, Brandon Vance, Myles Vance and fiancé Kelsey, Amber McMillen and husband Shelton, and Michael Copenhaver and wife Andrea; nineteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy Ramsey and husband Sam, of Surprise, Arizona, and Leona Ruth Vonfeldt and her significant other, Clayton, of Portland, Oregon; his BSF, Crickett Wolfe, of Climax Springs, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Randy was born in Oregon and following his graduation from high school; he went to work as a laborer on the Northern Pacific Railroad. Randy was a hard worker and worked his way through the ranks in Northern Pacific Railroad and the Burlington Northern Railroad, he retired as Divisional Supervisor, after many years of service. Randy had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the Climax Springs Presbyterian Church, where he also served as an Elder. He had served as a board member and volunteer for the Northwest Fire Protection District for many years. He was an avid golfer, and taught his children to play as well. He even hit two holes-in-one in two weeks at Bay View Golf Course in Osage Beach. Randy was a man of wisdom, and made sure that his sons and son-in-laws knew the secret to a successful marriage, was to always say “Yes, Dear.” In his spare time, Randy enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and spending time with his family and friends. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every second of it. His parting words to his family were “It’s Been one Heck of a Ride!” Randy was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12 -2 p.m. the same day of service. Memorial donations may be made to the Climax Springs Presbyterian Church, Climax Springs, Missouri and left at the funeral home. Funeral services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
