RAY DEAN JEFFRIES Effie Ray Dean Jeffries, daughter of John Robert and Francis Dean Fisher Eidson, was born, November 4, 1919 in Camden County, MO. She entered into eternal rest, December 11, 2009, in St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri with her daughter, family and friends at her side. She was united in marriage to Finis "Buck" Cyrus and to this union two daughters were born. After his death, she was married to Benny Wilson, who also preceded her in death. She later wed Ed Jeffries. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Glenn W. Eidson; two half-brothers, Audie and Dorsey Eidson; a half-sister, Cleo Webster and her beloved daughter, Linda Cyrus. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sue Cyrus of Kansas City, Missouri, with whom she resided. In addition, she is survived by numerous nephews, and nieces and many friends who loved her and will miss her humor, strength and loyalty. Ray Dean was raised in Camden County. She lived for a time near her daughter in Peculiar, Missouri then moved to Kansas City to be with her other daughter. Ray Dean was saved and baptized in 1931 at Parrack Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She later became a member of Fist Baptist Church in Macks Creek. In her spare time, she enjoyed flowers, gardening and traveling. She was a loving mother and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macks Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to cancer research or the humane society and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
