RAY OLLISON Ray Ollison, son of Edd and Bertha May Gardner Ollison, was born, May 29, 1923 in Climax Springs, Missouri. He departed this life, Monday, June 22, 2009, in his home, Climax Springs, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years and twenty-four days. On May 29, 1981 in Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Helen Arlene Uhlin. Together they shared the past twenty-eight years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tommy Ollison; a brother, Alfred Ollison and a sister, Jenny May Ollison. Survivors include his wife, Helen Ollison of the home; children, Don Ollison and Becky of Lebanon, Missouri, Libby Hulett and husband Ron of Camdenton, Missouri, Lori Schneider and husband Rick of Hermann, Missouri, Deanna Creek and Ethan of Farmington, Missouri, Corina Creek and Laura Creek both of Climax Springs, Missouri; three granddaughters, Sherri Harmon and husband Dennis of Camdenton, Missouri, Kristi McKinzey and husband A.J. of Raymore, Missouri and Amanda Robertson of St. Petersburg, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Harmon and Rylee and Tyler McKinzey; a twin brother, Raymond Ollison and wife Charlene of Versailles, Missouri; a nephew, Dr. Larry Ollison and wife Loretta of Osage Beach, Missouri; a niece, Rita Lehman and husband Milton of Gravois Mills, Missouri and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ray was raised in Climax Springs and was a graduate of Climax Springs High School. He lived for a short time in Kansas City where he worked for Kansas City Window Cleaning Company. He returned to Climax Springs and owned and operated Climax Springs Bait and Tackle. He was a member of the Climax Springs Businessmen's Association and the school board. Ray made a profession of faith and was a member of the Climax Springs Presbyterian Church. He was an avid deer hunter and loved the outdoors. His favorite past time was watching the wild deer and other wildlife on his farm. He had a special love for his cat "Spot". Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his son, daughters, granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday June 25, 2009 in Drennon Chapel, Climax Springs, Missouri. Burial will follow in Climax Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. in Drennon Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice and left at the funeral home or Drennon Chapel the day of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
