Raymond Jacob Forsythe

Raymond Jacob Forsythe, son of Burns and Mary (Butler) Forsythe, was born November 12, 1958 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, January 20, 2018 in his home at the age of fifty-nine years, two months, and eight days. On November 9, 1986, Ray was united in marriage to Penny Ebert, and together they have shared the last thirty-one years. His parents preceded Ray in death. He is survived by his wife, Penny, of the home; his children, Heather Swanson, of St. Louis, Missouri, Shane Swanson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mark Swanson, of Tucson, Arizona; a grandson, Slade Swanson; his brother, Burns Forsythe, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Ray grew up in Laquey, Missouri and was a graduate of Waynesville High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for ten years. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Ray worked as an over the road truck driver and later as a mechanic for Dependable Automotive. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and working on cars. He was a great guy and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
