Reita "Cookie" Johnson

Reita Fern “Cookie” Johnson, daughter of William Homer and Velma Vern Eidson Seaton, was born November 26, 1945 in Macks Creek, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, one month, and twenty-three days. On September 12, 1964, Cookie was united in marriage to Emmett Lee Johnson, and together they have shared the last fifty-two years. Cookie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Emmett, of the home; daughter, Angie Luttrell and husband Kelly, of Macks Creek, Missouri; her son, Curtis Johnson and wife Amy, of Louisburg, Missouri; her grandchildren, Justin Vest and wife Sarah, Joshua Luttrell, Jessica Gardner and husband Levi, and Rylee and Reese Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Kallie and Hadley Vest, and Zoey and Molly Gardner; her sister, Wanita Willis and husband Pete, of Macks Creek, Missouri; two brothers, Harvey Seaton and wife Carolyn, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Harrol Seaton and wife Sharon, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Cookie spent her younger years living in Macks Creek and was a graduate of Macks Creek High School in the Class of 1963. She was a devoted homemaker and mother to her family and later worked at Sunstrand and Camdenton R-III Schools. Cookie had accepted Christ as her Savior and attended Branch Assembly of God Church for many years. In her spare time, Cookie enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her family and many friends. She was an excellent cook and was known for her fried rice and numerous desserts. Cookie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
