REVEREND RALPH BAILEY Ralph Alfred Bailey, son of Ralph Roy and Margaret Liebst Bailey, was born, January 1, 1935 in Van Buren, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, October 04, 2012, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years, nine months and three days. On May 11, 1956 in Randolph, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Norma G. Shockey and to this union four children were born. Together they shared thirty-four years of marriage until her passing on November 6, 1990. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leslie Owen Bailey. Survivors include his children, Stephen Bailey and wife Angela of Camdenton, Missouri, Russell Bailey of Kansas City, Missouri, Quimby Cooper and husband Tom of Kansas City, Missouri and Misti Bailey of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Attebery and husband Ray of Lebanon, Missouri and Nadine Osgood of Columbia, Missouri; a brother, Richard Bailey and wife Ruth of Stockton, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Shirley Bailey of Blackfoot, Idaho and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ralph was raised in Van Buren, Missouri and attended high school in Parsons, Kansas. He devoted his life to the ministry. He served as the minister of Bethel Tabernacle in North Kansas City, Missouri. In 2008 he was awarded the Ministry Milestone Certificate for fifty years of service. He retired from full-time ministry after fifty-four years however; he continued to hold Sunday services at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church International. Ralph also worked for Gas Service Company of Kansas City and owned a construction company. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and home improvement and if you had a moment to spare he could definitely tell you "quite the fish tale". He was a loving dad and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
