RICHARD L. HUNT Richard Lee Hunt, son of Forest Raymond and Eleanor Elizabeth Heideman Hunt, was born, October 29, 1935 in Waterloo, Iowa. He departed this life, Saturday, April 21, 2012, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-six years, five months and twenty-three days. On May 19, 1957 in Janesville, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Sonja Mae Tuman and to this union two daughters were born. Together they shared fifty-three years of marriage until her passing on January 30, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Hunt. Survivors include two daughters, Theresa Lewis and husband Ken and Dawn McGuire and David Stout all of Camdenton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ashley McGuire, Emily Lewis, MacKenzie McGuire and Chayann Lewis; a brother, Jack Hunt and wife Deanna of St. Joseph; two sisters, Pat Workman and husband Melvin of King City, Missouri and Karen York-Crossland and husband Bill of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Richard was born in Iowa and the family moved to Missouri when he was a young boy. After his marriage, they moved to California where he enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country proudly and after he was honorably discharged, they continued to live in California. He owned and operated Hunt's Pool Service. They moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1984 where they owned and operated R&S Liquor. After selling the business, he bought, restored and sold antique John Deere tractors. He and Sonja had been members of a two-way radio club in California. Richard was a member of the antique John Deere Club. He spent many hours restoring tractors and enjoyed every minute of it. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He touched many lives and his memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home. The family will be hosting a reception at the Camdenton Lions Club after the service. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
