Rita Louise Willer, daughter of Louis Peter, and Alvina Josephine Rick Treme, was born, April 7, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, January 31, 2020, in Lake Parke Senior Living, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-six years, nine months and twenty-four days. On September 27, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was united in marriage to George John Willer, Jr., and to this union three children were born. Together they shared almost sixty-five years of marriage until his passing on March 26, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters. Survivors include her two daughters, Joan Mary Cope and husband Paul of Macks Creek, Missouri and Georgia E. Mittelbuscher and husband Dale of St. Charles, Missouri; her son, George John Willer, III and wife Connie of Silex, Missouri; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Rita spent most of her life in the St. Louis, Missouri area. She attended school there and received her teaching degree. She taught at St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Wentzville, Missouri and All Saint’s Catholic School, St. Peters, Missouri. She also taught and was an Elementary Principal in Troy Public Schools, Troy, Missouri until her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
