On February 3, 1951 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Imogene Horton and to this union, two children were born. Together they lovingly shared the past fifty-eight years together. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Keith McDaniel. Robert was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and was a graduate of Glennon High School in the class on 1944. After graduation, he enlisted with the United States Army and proudly served his country in World War II. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to Kansas City. He and Jean lovingly raised their children there while Ken worked for the City of Kansas City. He retired after thirty-nine years of service as a maintenance supervisor at the Municipal Auditorium. They retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1989. Ken was a member of the Laurie Elks Lodge and had served as Captain for the Northwest Fire Protection District. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and in his spare time enjoyed boating and skiing. He was a nostalgic man, who liked old trucks and old western movies. He enjoyed Irish music and has always longed to make a trip to Ireland where his grandpa was born. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
