Ronald Dee Blecher
Ronald Dee Blecher, son of Wilbert Dee and Betty Jean Thompson Blecher, was born, April 18, 1950 in Alameda County, California. He departed this life, Monday, January 2, 2023, in his home in Macks Creek, Missouri at the age of seventy-two years, eight months and fifteen days.
On May 29, 1970, he was united in marriage to Sherry Lynette Pierce, and to this union, one daughter was born. Together they shared fifty-two years of marriage
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Trudy Darby and a brother Randy Blecher.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Blecher of the home; his daughter, Shanna Wirths and husband Kelly of Macks Creek, Missouri; his two grandsons, Kobe Wirths and Kennen Wirths of Macks Creek, Missouri; his sister, Patricia Mulich of Osage Beach, Missouri; his brother, Larry Blecher and wife Linda of Louisburg, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Ronald was raised in Tunas, Missouri and was a graduate of Tunas High School, Class of 1968. Following graduation, Ronnie worked for Chapman’s in Buffalo, Missouri. He was a dump truck driver, and managed the local trash service till it was sold. Ronald later owned his own Trucking company for many years. He started his music career with Billy Jo Carnahan when he was thirteen years old, and traveled the country playing music. He loved playing Western Swing, Rock-n-Roll and Country music.
Ronald was saved and baptized at an early age and was a member of Hopewell Freewill Baptist Church in Tunas, Missouri.
In his spare time, he was blessed to live a very adventurous life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses. “Rompin Ron”, as he was known, was a very skilled drummer and had the pleasure of playing for Johnny Paycheck, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Chuck Berry, David Alan Coe and many others.
He loved his wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandsons and was very proud of his grandsons. Ronald was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 in Hopewell Cemetery, Tunas, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
Memorial donations may be made to Hopewell Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
