Ronnie Gene Hunter, son of John Hunter and Evelyn Sousley-Shipman, was born February 17, 1966 in Camden County, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in his home at the age of fifty-eight years, seven months and eight days.



On June 25, 2016, Ronnie was united in marriage to Brenda Kay (Martin) Burns.



He was preceded in death by his parents.



Ronnie is survived by his wife, Brenda, of the home; his daughter, Amanda Mankey and husband Kyle of Macks Creek, Missouri; his step-children Katherine Vowell and husband Ben of Linn Creek, Missouri, Brian Burns of Farmington, Missouri; his grandchildren, Matthew, Easton and Charlie Mankey; his step-grandchildren, Samarah Vowell, Benjamin Vowell Jr. and Matthew Burns; his siblings, Jodale Shipman and Casey Hunter; his step-siblings, Lecia Magness, Stephanie Hamner, Sandy Hamner and Terrance Hamner; as well as a host of other relatives.



Ronnie grew up in the Camdenton area and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1984. Following graduation, Ronnie worked at Electrovert for many years.



He was saved at an early age at Camdenton Bible Baptist Church.



Ronnie loved riding his motorcycle and in his early years he was an avid weight lifter. He was a skilled artist and guitarist. He also enjoyed fishing, playing pool, restoring his beloved 1964 Nova SS, and listening to country music.



A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, October 3, 2024 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.


In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home at 15 Clint Ave, Camdenton, Missouri 65020.
