Roy Halderman

ROY HALDERMAN Roy Cope Halderman, son of Fritz Roy and Emma Lottie Davis Halderman, was born, May 22, 1940 in Brumley, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, October 10, 2013, in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years, four months and eighteen days. On November 7, 1964 in Camdenton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Marie McQueen. Together they shared forty-eight years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Robert Jesse "Bobby" Smith and two brothers, Loren Everett and David Lee Halderman. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Halderman of Camdenton, Missouri; eighteen siblings, Larry, Jimmie, Johnny, Lonnie, Edward, Stanley, Melvin, Fritz, Jr., Richard, Jessie, Minnie, Alma, Geraldine, Linda, Debra, Tamara, Debbie and Bonnie; an aunt, Geraldine Kaiser, Brumley, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Roy was raised in Brumley, Missouri. After their marriage, they made their home in Kaiser and in 1965 they moved to Camdenton. He worked at Tan-Tar-A, at a chicken farm, at Clopp Feed Store and helped run the Camdenton City trash route. Roy studied with the Jehovah's Witnesses. In his spare time he always enjoyed fishing. He pitched horse shoes when he has the opportunity. He loved going to auctions and visiting with the people there. He was a loving husband, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Robinett Cemetery, Brumley under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
