Maj. Roy C. Moore U.S.A.F (Ret) passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, September 18. Roy lived an incredibly rich life, first as a young runaway traveling all over the country doing odd jobs, then enlisted and as an Air Force Fighter Pilot he spent the next 20 years traveling all over the world. After retiring from the Air Force, he carved out another 25-year career with his own backhoe business. After retiring a second time he spent the next years puttering around the farm and entertaining the locals with his stories. He never met a stranger, and always had a jovial attitude. If you ever met him, he was more interested in learning more about you than telling his own stories. He spent the last few years in Assisted Living and managed to write and publish three books. He was stubborn, and opinionated, and never gave excuses.
Roy is survived by his wife Joan, four children; David, Debra, Dale and Dawn; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
