ROYLENE J. ALSBACH Roylene Josephine Alsbach, daughter of Roy A. and Helen E. Caldwell Thomas, was born, April 23, 1934 in Drumright, Oklahoma. She departed this life, Sunday, August 26, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, four months and three days. On January 31, 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Frederick Harold Alsbach. Together they shared the past thirty-two years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-father, John Spanbauer. Survivors include her husband, Fred Alsbach of the home; a daughter, Debra Arnold and husband Robert of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother, Walter Thomas and wife Beverly of Linn Creek, Missouri; four step-children, Floyd Alsbach and wife Lynda of Marshall, Missouri, Carl Alsbach and wife Renee of Festus, Missouri, Ruth Ann Adams and husband Jim of Pevely, Missouri and Royce Alsbach and wife Karen of Appleton, Wisconsin; fifteen grandchildren, Catrina Butts and husband Brian, Kyle Arnold and wife Sarah, Ryan Arnold, Hannah Alsbach, Jack Alsbach, Candice Kentch and husband Don, Cassie Alsbach, Cayla Alsbach, Carl Joe Alsbach, Clayton Ott and wife Jennifer, Sarah Bailey and husband Sterling, Jonathon Adams, Cole Alsbach, Dylan Alsbach and Madison Alsbach; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. Roylene was raised in Oklahoma and attended school there and later moved to Kansas City. She lived in Kansas, Iowa and Ohio before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1976. She worked in the insurance business for many years. She also worked in Real Estate sales and land management. She owned and operated The Antique Mall in Camdenton. She was most recently the Vice-President of Alsbach Construction. She loved antiques and had a knack for interior decorating. She was a big supporter of the Dogwood Animal Shelter. Most of all, time spent with her family was precious to her. Roylene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fort Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
