RUTH A. SMITH Ruth Almetta Smith, daughter of Albert and Myrtle Conrad Yount, was born January 20, 1933 in Yount, Missouri. She fell asleep in Jesus, Friday, September 17, 2010 in St. Johns Mercy Medical Center, Creve Coeur, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years, seven months and twenty-eight days. She was united in marriage to Floyd E. Smith and to this union four daughters were born. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Lula Glass, Mildred Fischer, Katherine Ochs, Ollie Yount and Alice Stark and one brother, Everett Yount. Survivors include, four daughters, Brenda Lostritto and husband Peter of Orangevale, California, Beverly Henschel and husband Joseph of Conroe, Texas, Pamela Niewald and husband Neal of St. Louis County, Missouri and Cathy Grueneberg and husband Rodney of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri; eight grandchildren; nine (plus one on the way) great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Betty Simpson, Ruby Atchison, Lois Gaddy and Peggy Brookshire; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ruth was a resident of Camdenton, Missouri and was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Greenview. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister-in-law and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Peace Lutheran Church, Greenview. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A second visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
