Ruth Waters

RUTH WATERS Ruth Ada Waters, daughter of Arthur and Florence Davidson Chastain, was born, May 28, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, February 13, 2014, in her home, Macks Creek, Missouri at the age of seventy years, eight months and sixteen days. On August 9, 1959 in Macks Creek, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Howard Lee Waters and to this union four children were born. Together they shared fifty-four years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jack and Billy Chastain. Survivors include her husband, Howard Waters of the home; four children, Richard Waters and wife Sandy of Buffalo, Missouri, Mike Waters of Macks Creek, Missouri, Ada Evans and John Thomas of Macks Creek, Missouri and Annie Wallander and husband Kenny of Camdenton, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Curtis, Jake and Gary Waters, Erica Allan and husband Chris, A.J. Evans, Dalton and Dylan Waters, Chrystal and husband, Tyler Robbins and Mindy Wallander; three great-grandchildren, Bailey Allan, Jaylee Jones and Syrana Robbins; a brother, Harvey Chastain and wife Mary of Macks Creek, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ruth was raised in Kansas City and lived most of her life in Macks Creek. She worked for a time at Blair Cedar and Dickerson's Supply, mostly she was a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and made many beautiful quilts. She loved the outdoors; especially time spent camping and floating on the river with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We will miss her greatly and carry the memories she created for her family and friends forever. A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. No formal funeral service will be held. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
