Sandra Elizabeth Doren (Ehrlich) left this life to be with Jesus on July 31st 2018. She was born July 10th, 1947 in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she will be returned and interred at Evergreen Cemetery near her father, Spencer Ehrlich. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jeanne Ehrlich Neeley. She leaves behind her husband of fifty years, Douglas Doren and her three children, David and Daniel Doren of Colorado Springs and Denise Riethmiller of Grass Lake Michigan. Other relatives include her brother, Scott Ehrlich, her grandchildren, Justin and Hailey Doren, Brooklyn and Cole Riethmiller, and great-grandchildren, Jack and Beckett Doren; as well as the sons and daughters-in-law whom she loved as her own. Sandy quit college to be married in February, 1969. Forty years later she returned to college and completed her undergraduate work and received a Masters degree with honors. She worked for the RIII school district for twenty years and established a successful and professional counseling business, running concurrently with her “day job”, retiring from both in 2017. Sandy and her husband moved to the lake area in 1991. She was actively involved in church work and missionary support through Graceland Church in Camdenton, and volunteered counseling through Medical Missions for Christ. She enjoyed attending fund raising events and trivia tournaments benefiting several of her favorite charities. A memorial service will be held at Graceland Church prior to her return to Colorado Springs and her final resting place. She would say “The mountains are calling and I must go.” She had a coffee cup that said that.
