Sandra Leap

Sandra Lynn “Sassy” Leap, daughter of the late Edward & Edna (Danuser) Spautz, was born on June 17, 1958 and departed this life on September 24, 2020. At the time of her passing she was sixty-two years, three months and seven days of age. Sassy was born and raised in Iowa but at an early age she moved to Osage Beach, Missouri. While in Osage Beach, she attended the Camdenton school district which is where she met the love of her life and soon to be husband, Jeff Leap. Shortly after they finished their schooling the couple was united in marriage and to this union four children were born, all whom survive her. Together they raised their family in Camdenton where she also served as a cook in the Camdenton school district for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed going to casinos, yard sales and watching the hummingbirds. One tradition she truly enjoyed was personally making a custom cake for all her grandkid’s birthdays. She loved watching “Da Bears”. Sassy was preceded in passing by her parents; one grandson, Hunter Heavner; one sister, Cindy Byler; and sister-in-law, Judy DeGuire. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Leap; four children, Joey Leap, Alishua & husband Dale Harrison, Lacey & husband Colton Greenwell and Courtney & husband Chris Swanigan; Grandchildren, Chad, Jordan, Ashley, Autumn, Chez, Kanon, Lilly, Emma, Jordan, Wyatt, Lexi, Rush, Livie, Vader and Xj; two brothers, Randy & wife Nancy Spautz and Tim & wife Laura Spautz; three sisters, Patti Muscia, Lori & husband Chuck Connor and Flo & husband Jim Weems. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and other family members who will truly miss her.
