Sharon Shipley, 70, of Linn Creek, passed away on June 28, 2020 at her home in the company of family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 01, 2020 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 02, 2020 at Linn Creek Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Jeff Maxwell officiating; pot-luck meal to follow. Burial will follow at the Linn Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements are by Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri; donations in memorial can be made to Eden Goldsberry Hueste Scholarship fund. Sharon was born Sharon Kay Haley on April 20, 1950 in Brookfield, Missouri to Warren & Lourene (Cowser) Haley. She attended various grade schools throughout Missouri and graduated from Princeton High School in 1968. She graduated Lincoln University’s Registered Nursing program and spent over 34 years bringing comfort and healing to the thousands of patients she encountered throughout her career. She was married May 27, 1972 to Larry Landreth and widowed on July 22, 1978. She married Ron Shipley August 01, 1983 and recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary. She loved God, her husband, children, granddaughter, and all the many kids that passed through her home over the years. She spent her free time tending to her farm, animals, and gardens. She loved to make salsa, relish, jams and jellies, and jar bread. She also enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, and making crafts. She was a member of Linn Creek Baptist church and a dedicated Vacation Bible School teacher, orchestrating the crafts program for hundreds of children over the last 20 years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her – Miss Sharon, Aunt Sharon, Nana, and Mom. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Warren and Lourene Haley, one sister Debby Woods, and a nephew Paul Ellison. She is survived by her husband, Ron of the home; daughter, Dana & husband Justin Young of Linn Creek, Missouri and Megan Shipley of Manassas, Virginia; granddaughter, Emily Young of Linn Creek, Missouri; brother Mike & his wife Linda Haley of Brookfield, Missouri; nieces, Charlene Newman of Camdenton, Missouri, Amy & husband Rob Trout of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Michele & husband Earl Perkins of Moberly, Missouri; mother-in-law, Rose Shipley of Camdenton, Missouri. She also leaves behind several great nieces, nephews, and friends who will truly miss her.
