SHERRAN POWELL Sherran Kay Powell, daughter of Kenneth Warren and Maxine Delores Shultz Welden, was born, October 29, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She departed this life, Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-two years, nine months and six days. On November 6, 1981 in Bethany Church, Englewood, Colorado, she was united in marriage to Kent Allan Powell. Together they shared thirty-one years of marriage She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ben Welden. Survivors include her husband, Kent Powell of Climax Springs, Missouri; two daughters, Vickie Gibbs and husband Clifton of Denver, Colorado and Honey Brumley of Climax Springs, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kevin and Kendra Gibbs of Denver, Colorado and Brandon, Kent and Jesse Brumley all of Climax Springs, Missouri; a great-grandchild on the way; a brother, Tim Welden of Firestone, Colorado and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Sherran was raised in Denver, Colorado. She was a graduate of North High School in Denver and the Emily Grifit Bookkeeping School. She worked as a bookkeeper for First National Bank of Denver, Colorado Auto Auction and Depot Restaurant in Brighton, Colorado. Her most important job was being a homemaker and mother to her daughters. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and bowling. She enjoyed computers, especially gaming and social networking. Most of all, her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was very excited to welcome her first great-grandchild. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She touched many lives and her memory will linger on in our hearts forever. A family service will be held at a later date. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
